A separate TV room would be really great. Unfortunately, the corresponding space is missing. Although I have to say that we (adults) do not watch TV during the day and do not stay in this area either. But! the area is simply not "around the corner," so it is always present.

Hello Jasmin, I already find this layout perfect. Personally, I would keep the TV in this spot and not reduce its size, but install a long wall-mounted lowboard below it. Remove the small shelves and add a different lamp + colored wall = a few matching pillows or a throw. By the way, almost all modern TVs support the "Bild" function.

You are all heretics! :p

Seriously, if you find the TV so terrible, there are many ways to hide it. I mean, there is even someone here in the forum who built themselves a lowboard with an elevator for the TV. So it simply slides out when needed. It is also conceivable to hang a real picture in front of it and just push it aside when you want to watch. That surely isn't too difficult to accomplish.

If you accept the television as a family member, it may stay. You still need to work on that ;-)

Either you have a TV or you don't. You can also make a fuss…

We currently have three, I am saving up for number 4. I had a socket and LAN port installed in the bathroom above the tub on purpose. So that taking a full bath is not so boring.
