The back of the upholstered sofa already acts (for now) like a room divider and rearranging is done quickly. A different lamp... one that hangs lower over the coffee table and does not glare.

Hmm I think for those sitting there it is uncomfortable because the space still opens up behind them. I think you still need a room divider. But try it first. Be careful with the gray so that it becomes warm and not cold. So more red parts, less blue parts.

I will try it today, after a round in the lake. The wall paint should at least not be so dark, we've had that before... I always felt like looking into a dark hole in the morning... west window after all.
