Hello everyone,

we have made some progress for the ground floor. Thanks again for the comments!
We have decided against some spots and now want to use normal ceiling outlets in the living room. Small lamps are to shine diagonally on the wall there. These should be able to be dimmed down strongly if needed.
What do you think of the idea?

In the kitchen block there will now also be a downdraft extractor and 3 pendant lamps. Under the wall cabinets on the wall there is additional LED lighting.
Above the dining table there will also be one or more pendant lamps.

We still need to select the exact light bulbs. We are waiting until the stores open again.

What do you think? Are there any further comments?

Orange = ceiling outlets; Red = spots
Planned 6 circuits

Thank you very much!

Own experience: Excellent light and maximum variability in the configuration of brightness, light color, and beam angle are offered by Ansorg spotlights, which are commonly used in retail construction. The installation dimensions are quite individual and must be taken into account during planning; expect a 10-week delivery time and premium but not luxury-oriented prices. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Luxvenum lights with great light at a good price, although not cheap. What the electrician brought us is unfortunately quite rubbish, has PWM when dimming (flickering) and an annoying switch-on delay. Either he still manages to fix it or I will replace the 9 spots each with Luxvenum in the children's apartments myself.

Do you want to control the spots in the hallway using a motion detector or conventionally with a switch?

I would skip spots 3 and 4 in the hallway and instead treat myself to a nice stair lighting (illuminated handrail, spots in the wall following the staircase or illuminated stair landings, etc.)

If you use normal spots with a beam angle of 36-40°, then 2 spots for the hallway area are too few. Even if you distribute them. From the front door to the living room wall is about 5.5m. I assume there will definitely be hallway and living room switches there. Personally, I also miss the general lighting for the living room.

This is roughly how it would look.
I have simulated your plan.
There are only 2 lights in the dining area.

Ceiling height - 2.7m
The values in Lux measured at 80cm height.
All lamps are on.

That’s why I said that I miss basic lighting in the living room area.
If the walls are not white but rather dark, even less light will be reflected off the walls.

-Ceiling lights in living and dining room directed at the wall. 500Lm and 50° beam angle.
- 2 dining table lights at 65cm distance from the table. Per light 190Lm and beam angle approx. 120°
Dining table surface = approx. 250Lux
-3 lights above the workbench with 1.2m distance above the worktop. Per light approx. 450Lm and 33° beam angle
-Hallway and kitchen spots. Per spot approx. 500Lm and 40° beam angle.

Certain illuminance levels in Lux are recommended.
You can roughly follow them.
Much more important is the right light in the right place.
There are countless possibilities. Different beam angles, light colors, luminous intensity as Hampshire already pointed out. Direct light, indirect light, direct/indirect light.
Directed light for decoration. Diffuse basic lighting etc.
That’s why it makes sense to divide lighting into several groups.

Creating optimal lighting is unfortunately not so easy.
I hope you now have an idea of what it could look like.

I am currently working on getting to know Dialux and simulating my lighting plan.
For everyone who plans their lighting, Dialux is the right program.
Of course, you have to have time and motivation for it.
