Laying tiles additional costs

Due to the dirt problem from the terrace to the living room: there are also small and larger dirt-trapping mats that can simply be placed into a frame that is flush-mounted in the parquet (or tiles). These are no longer tripping hazards and also look intentional.

Dirt wouldn’t be an argument. You have to remove that from tiles too. Mud more likely.

The dirt (especially small stones), which is not cleaned up immediately, does not damage the tiles, unlike the parquet.

I think the opener is mainly concerned about small stones, etc., that could scratch the parquet. It was just a suggestion that could possibly be pursued further to bring up the parquet topic again. The kitchen itself can still be fitted with wood-look tiles – but then preferably in a contrasting tone and accented with stainless steel –

Yes, but there are also people who even cover their sofa with plastic covers. However, in Germany probably not (anymore?). In the USA and Asia, something like that is sometimes seen...
