We have furnished every room multiple times. Also Child 2, who will actually probably become a guest room. Should there ever be children, however, we have also played through this case. Two 60 cm wardrobes etc. fit in without any problems. Due to the high-placed windows/light strips on the house sides, there is also good space to place something underneath. The room has 9 sqm even without the right part, which was the size of the entire children's room for many acquaintances, which was also located under the roof. But the floor plan was not an issue here.

I don't know what everyone has against the room for child 2. Yes, it's a bit tucked away, but I can immediately think of cool furniture to make good use of the size. When they're small, they don't need that much space yet. Even 8 sqm is huge. From about 6 years old, you can work great with loft beds and have plenty of space underneath to play. As teens, they basically just move from the bed to the desk to the TV stand. Our older son lived in a 20 sqm room and used exactly 5 sqm of it. Now he swapped rooms with his little brother (9 sqm) and everyone is happy. They don't need a huge wardrobe at that age either. The little one has everything in his changing table dresser and an adjacent narrow shelf. Seasonal clothes are swapped out accordingly.

On the topic: The shower in the guest WC hardly gets any light.
Then consider whether you will mount a lamp above the stairs or if enough light comes in from the others. My mother gets upset every time she wants to mop the stairs because she casts a shadow on the steps.
I would put the lamp in front of the shower in the main bathroom directly inside the shower. If you ever pinch a curtain, it could get tight with the light. I would remove one of the three in front and then distribute the spots. The light in the bathroom mirror might otherwise reflect unpleasantly (this is the case at my parents’).
What about the light in the small storage room under the stairs?

That contradicts our experiences 100%. Funny how different children can be. We had set 16 sqm as the minimum size for children's rooms.

Wow, that's big. But yes, it depends a lot on the children and the family. We hardly spent any time in our rooms as kids. We either hung out in the living room or outside. Our kids are almost the same (I'll exclude the teenager here, he only needs his PlayStation to be happy :rolleyes. The little one is actually in the living room about 95% of the time. Hope that changes a bit when we are in the house and everything is on one level. I would like to reduce the toys in the living area a bit.

we or I was mostly in the children's room, my parents didn't want any toys in the rest of the apartment. our children's rooms were never smaller than 12m² either. maybe it's really all a matter of habit.

The lighting of the kitchen island with [Spots in der Decke] is something I would reconsider. More pleasant for working is lighting at head height.
