I can count myself lucky. We also started with the kitchen planning and discussions in 2019. Then we signed the construction contract in the fall. Several trips to the furniture store until the final kitchen purchase agreement. Also negotiated a bit with the kitchen salesperson. The contract was then signed at the beginning of 20 and an installation was scheduled for Nov./Dec. 20. We had to wait for the house approval. When the kitchen installers arrived and set up the kitchen, it was Dec. 20. The final completion (since there were still some follow-up tasks) then took place in April of this year. Result: We even paid less for our kitchen than previously agreed. Because in the last half of the year 16% VAT still applied. The kitchen installer still had to complete the follow-up work anyway. It was a bit strange, but we were very happy about it. :) So things can also turn out well.

We felt like we changed our kitchen 100 times, so we haven’t really negotiated prices much yet. But we also knew from visits to several other kitchen studios that the price there is very good and we feel comfortable with them. We haven’t signed yet, no. We wanted to do that now. Our GC has also had all installation plans for 2 months, meaning we decided on the dimensions a long time ago— it was more a matter of optical details that were still problematic.

So you have a kitchen installer with moderate prices and the patience to carry out a hundred changes over three quarters of a year without anything being signed? I wouldn’t complain about the 4.5% with so much goodwill, which you might even be able to avoid.

For what reason? Every time I make a change I receive an offer with the current price and the new validity of the offer.

Exactly for such a reason I go to a proper kitchen builder and not to a run-of-the-mill furniture store that wants a signature after one conversation.

So how many hours of service have you already used free of charge? Without the dealer having any guarantee that you will actually buy from them?

Well, but with a hundred changes that must have been a lot of time invested by the kitchen dealer, which was not additionally paid for either.

There is no TZ in our contract. However, the fact that the kitchen is definitely ordered only after the measurement.
