No, dimensions do not correspond to the plans. There are always differences. RBM are not finished measurements. Professional work requires an on-site measurement.

A reputable kitchen manufacturer will never order your kitchen based on plans. It will be ordered according to actual measurements. Imagine if a wall has shifted within the tolerance range and then we're only talking about millimeters, the kitchen would no longer fit.

Drawings and plans are one thing, and the actual measurements taken with laser and so on are another. The latter is what counts.

If you manage to have the plastering done and the measurements taken by 01.03, you shouldn’t have to pay the 4.5%. That would be easy if you are planning to move in April/May anyway.

I do not find this absolutely unacceptable. Let's turn the perspective around: The kitchen studio has the kitchen built for you and now has several options to handle the order: 1. to have this kitchen built at the manufacturer immediately. In this case, the kitchen must be stored for you. This incurs costs for capital commitment and storage, which increase over time. In addition, there is an adjustment risk as described above with a new build – the more walls, the higher the risk. 2. he only orders the kitchen once he has taken measurements. Now he must expect that the kitchen manufacturer raises prices in the meantime. In the industry, it is not uncommon for price increases to be known in concrete terms for a long time. Since the kitchen builder does not want to be financially affected by delays caused by the customer, he makes the adjustment. We knew that our kitchen would only be delivered after a price round later and included this in our consideration and negotiation. Budget is predictable, no problem. This price adjustment clause is indeed common.

Yes, that's true...

I still find it "cheeky" to demand a TZ here, even though I would order the kitchen immediately now. I know the problem that arises in the background, but in my opinion, the specialist dealer is obliged to bear the costs here and then add them to new offers... This simply causes extreme unrest and possibly one or the other withdrawal.

Edit: I know this from the perspective of the company I work for - different industry but the same problem. The device is ordered, the price remains!! If the device can only be ordered later or has to be taken into stock and costs arise as a result, we bear these costs! It is also a sign of loyalty, goodwill, and is also expected somewhere...

I read it like this, they want 4.5 for storing the parts....

that amount is definitely too high because the rents there are not for extra storage space for your order but they already have the space (so already paid) or store it with the supplier or on the street.

Also, storage would mean 4.5 per month and not a flat 4.5 on top of the goods value...

That is not cheeky, that is commercially calculated. And yes, of course one or another customer may back out, but currently the kitchen installers are being overwhelmed with work, so that doesn't matter.
