We actually only use the garage for bicycles, so almost always by hand.

But then it's an expensive place to park. Nah, okay, if that's how it is... I would reconsider the pin and the possibility, for example, for the mail carrier.

I have a fingerprint scan from Fuhr, as well as a remote key set, also belonging to the Fuhr lock. The control unit is installed in the door. The security cannot be compared to cars. A front door does not need a locking signal from the key; rather, the motor lock automatically locks as soon as the door closes. The opening code can only be used once, and that within a short time span (for us 2 minutes). If a code is intercepted and the owner then presses the remote key again, the first sent code that was intercepted is already invalid. But since the owner is then inside the house, no one is likely to break in. In contrast to a car, where the owner leaves after sending the code because they have parked the car and locked it with a remote signal (or not locked, if the signal was intercepted). Teaching the fingers goes very quickly, swipe the master finger, swipe the new finger, swipe the master finger again. Done. Teaching apparently only works if you delete everything first.

Elina, we have already had the discussion regarding safety

Regarding training, it is poorly handled with Fuhr

we have fingerprint from bks. learning works like with elina, learning is theoretically possible with the remote control, if one knew the id. so basically, all fingers would have to be deleted. but when does one actually delete a finger?! sure, for vacation neighbors to water plants or something, but otherwise it's rather manageable.

pin is, as mentioned, not so great security-wise, only has to be glanced at once by someone. and you don't change it constantly anyway, so stop making excuses. radio is like with the car, a matter of concern, but it can be done. I basically think it's a good idea, I could imagine it too. fingerprint is probably the best security-wise, since no one copies the finger and wants to fiddle forever at the usually open and visible front door.

the advantage of all these systems is definitely that the front door is automatically locked in a way that's effective for insurance purposes and you don't have to lock the door yourself. of course, in case of a power outage, you can still unlock the door with a normal key, which also means that the front door could be opened with a key replacement (lock pick ^^). so you would need a lock with a secure key profile.
