But then you have to have the transmitter with you again.

I can see that I will have to deal with the implantation after all.
[Frauchen bekommt das dann einfach beim nächsten runden Geburtstag und dem evtl damit einhergehenden Vollrausch injiziert]

Yes, but the transmitters come in a wide variety of versions, e.g. keychains for car keys or similar, as long as you’re not walking around naked as a nudist, you’ll find something.

You can enroll each individual finger with the fingerprint system. If you cut one finger, you still have 9 fingers left. Or is the argument now "if I lose both hands in the machine, I still want to get in"?!
If you have dirty hands, just wash them. There’s always at least one finger clean enough; otherwise, you’re “ruining” the device and the front door anyway with your oil.

We have fingerprint access, it works great. We still have a normal front door key to get in in case of emergency. You can weld it shut and bury it in the garden, hide it under some paving stone, or put it somewhere else (in the back box of the box in the shed), or leave it with your parents, or wherever, to still be able to get in after 10 years in case of a power outage.

Of course, you can train every finger. But even with the middle finger, it was a contortion to press it individually on the protruding pad, and with the ring finger, I gave up^^

When my hands are dirty, logically all fingers are dirty, and usually pretty badly. "Just wash them" isn’t always something done quickly, and I also don’t want to have to wash my hands every time I make a short "house visit." Most of the time, I just grab an additional tool and keep working, washing hands would be nonsense then. Apart from the fact that fingers often don’t get really clean just by washing hands.
That’s why I prefer an extra "Werkstattschlüssel" hanging individually on a cord. If I want to go into the house, only this one gets dirty because I use it to open the door at the same time.

Again, I don’t want to speak badly of it or portray it negatively. That’s why I write, FOR ME the system is done. It simply doesn’t fit my ideas.

Our fingerprint scanner is flat, so there are no contortions. And it still recognizes my finger even when there’s a bandage stuck on it that covers half the fingertip. But I wouldn’t want to use the scanner with oily fingers, if only because of the mess.

But this also means that the security of the system is limited in favor of recognition. The security increases with the area of the scan used, but comfort decreases because the frequency of rejections rises. However, partial prints are left almost everywhere, so personally I would prefer higher security. Everyone has to weigh this for themselves if they even think about it.
