Keyless access systems

Hello everyone,

I am currently thinking about the access system in our new building. I am considering a keyless system with PIN input, fingerprint sensor, or similar.

Which manufacturers should I take a closer look at? Which systems do you use?

It concerns access to the front door and the garage door. I prefer not to carry a key, chip, or similar with me.

Of course, security/burglary protection is important. The sectional door must be able to be opened/closed by remote control from the car.

PIN is always bad in terms of security, but we will still do it for the garage door.

For the front door, we only have Ekey fingerprint and enjoy this convenience.

Sebastian, which system do you have? I might want to retrofit something.

From eKey - or what do you mean?

We also have an Idencom BioKey built into the door and a keypad on the intercom. The intercom is the Verso from 2N. There are also RFID and NFC readers available for it. NFC might be interesting, as you usually have your phone with you anyway.

just out of curiosity - how is the security with these systems?

When I look at how many supposedly very well-protected premium cars, equipped in almost 100% of cases with a keyless entry system, have involuntarily changed owners here with us in the past weeks and months, that would be the most important point for me...
