Is the building plan reliable? When to terminate the rental apartment?

That is also possible if you do not work from home. Provided you can make the way to work undercaffeinated and accident-free ;)

You don't need a kitchen for a coffee machine. It can also stand next to the toilet

I wanted to basically express that our schedule was almost fully adhered to.

we will even put a wood stove in the garden

We don’t have a canteen, for example, but it’s not a big deal. We’ll find ways and means :)

And the shoe doesn’t pinch us yet either!

With us, the delays only piled up in the last month. Corona at the electrician delayed the sanitary installation. The painters were too slow... I would rather pay an extra month’s rent than have the pressure.

Especially interesting is how quickly the move-in date is used by the general contractor as leverage for a "small" acceptance. The motto being: "You want to move in this week, but of course that’s only possible if you confirm the acceptance here with correspondingly few defects. Otherwise, unfortunately, you’ll have to wait another 3 weeks."

If everything else regarding the profitable construction time is settled with the general contractor and only your move-in date is under pressure, that is really a nasty choice.

Our planned move-in date would be mid/end of July. On Monday, the anhydrite screed was poured. We are now officially giving notice for 30.09., just to be safe, and will discuss with the landlord that we look for the next tenants who might move in earlier.

Our screed was poured last Thursday. :) The house handover is planned for 11.-22.07.22. Yesterday we decided to terminate our apartment by 31.08. :) Our Plan B is that, if necessary, we will rent a large storage tent, set it up on the property, and store our furniture there (which is not that valuable anyway) ... once the house is accepted, we just have to "carry in" the furniture, as it will already be on the property. :) According to Plan B, we would then live in a rented caravan, a holiday apartment, or similar ... maybe we will just camp, it is summer after all, and we have electricity/water at the construction site. However, we are "only" two adults without children, pets, or professional or social obligations, so a disrupted daily routine is temporarily possible.
