Nowadays, do you no longer have to renovate?
I have always handled it in my previous rental apartments so that the landlord could keep the deposit and I did not have to paint in return. In the current apartment, we have only lived for about 18 months, without pictures and wall cabinets on the wall, without pets, children, etc. In my estimation, there shouldn’t be much renovation effort for the landlord if he agrees.
I would plan a rental buffer.
We are trying to do that, but it may be as short as possible. :)
But that is not an option for you.
I don’t understand that sentence. :)
Since my boyfriend already lives where our house is being built, we need his apartment as a temporary solution for my school-age child, since there will probably be an overlap with the new school year.
With children, especially a school-age child, it’s a special challenge.
That depends solely on your construction company. And only you know them.
We have a handover date, but it is not 100% binding. I think delays can also occur regardless of the construction company. I thought there might be a "perfect" time, for example when the floors are finished or the floors and walls.
For us, it’s not that far yet, but we will only give notice once we are told the handover date.
Will you be given a definite handover date? We have had a handover date since March, but it is not "legally binding" ;-) guaranteed.
We are also just about to face that.
I know, you are the "other" forum member. ;-)
We have a 3-month notice period but a rent of 550 €, so quite manageable even with simultaneous repayment.
Really almost like us. We pay 600 euros rent per month plus electricity etc. In our house, the heating loops have been laid; now we are waiting for the screed, which "actually" should have been applied last Friday and Thursday before that, but did not happen.
