@ypg: Well, now my curiosity is piqued: WHAT WAS THE PICKAXE FOR? :)

:P we couldn't get into the ground anymore... because of all the excavators. I wanted to use the time to weed, but it didn't work. Besides, I wanted to sow lupine green manure. So my husband bought a pickaxe and built a small plow with a brick, with which he opened the earth arch.

I currently have a blooming lupine meadow :D

Very original and plow-like. ;)
Are you already done with the house and now at the garden design stage?
Where can I find your blog?

Of course, it should have said plow and soil :D No, we have reached the phase between screed drying and heating program. The craftsmen didn't know that the meters for the connections need to be applied for ;) Next week is vacation: working vacation... filling, wallpapering, and painting. You’re also roughly in this phase?! My construction blog is linked here... you have to scroll further down under the construction diaries :)

I admit I may have a different attitude there. Yes, I would like to have my own house. But an even bigger desire is to invest only in solid quality. A house without creaking stairs, clean with smoothly closing windows, roller shutters on the windows I do not see as frills. I see design elements, shower temples, electric roller shutters, bay windows, towers, etc. as frills.

OK, that much for the wish. It is becoming clear that the budget won’t work out. You really have to tackle things like only roller shutters on the ground floor, no blinds inside, no garage. I still have to get used to these thoughts.

I can't find a function to edit posts. What I wrote above is nonsense after rereading. I can calculate however I want, the gap is too large to be closed by omitting shutters. I have read quite a bit here in the forum again. The house I want will probably cost between 250,000 - 280,000 EUR. You have to be able to manage that, otherwise it's not serious. Of course, I would try to lower the price through personal contribution, negotiating discounts on materials. But that will probably not be included as a buffer.
