It would have to be a 70-year-old engineer or architect who still feels like doing it, no longer has to, but is standing around at home in the way and therefore looking for a professionally satisfying task plus extra income. Karsten

I don't think that meant that an architect would consider it as an inclusive service in the usual fee. Rather, that carriers of this profession fit perfectly into the profile of the described "Mister X." My thoughts go more in the direction of "retired general"

If your employer came and said: "You work six months in advance and then we pay you completely." Would you do that?

The first sentence confirms for me that teachers of an advanced age and building do not go well together. A bit naive when you buy a plot and now realize that building (or having it built) is not as simple as leading a class. Probably the plot was dirt cheap because it’s Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. You asked and no one gave the answer you wanted. Without communication at the construction site it will never work. There won’t be a MR X and if there is, I already feel sorry for him.

I would have said that your Mr. X is an architect, but something doesn't add up:

Do five-figure amounts count as “several hundred euros” for you?

In the skills profile, I clearly see an architect described - active or retired. But whoever has the desired position on it will not conduct free interviews or similar, where her majesty the client might test whether the chemistry fits. Good people have full calendars, especially in times of good economic conditions in their industry.

An audience with Mr. X already costs a few hundred.
