Is a building services room possible under the roof?

We bought an almost turnkey semi-detached house about a year ago and everything (heating, water tank, washing machine, etc.) was housed in one room in the attic. We found that very charming since no valuable space on the ground floor is lost.

Not really. The old one was a typical shotgun house and the rooms were rather narrow. Now we have 12x8m, which is really nice for a semi-detached house.

To sum it up briefly: Physically, there is nothing against putting the stuff under the roof? Provided it is a concrete ceiling?
