Thank you very much for your contributions and comments!
Watching exactly that live will be difficult – we would then have to build it twice
We have actually already seen the staircase in a show house, and we didn’t find it that mini at all. I was surprised myself.
(Space-saving staircases are usually less wide.)
In part, I agree with you: The semi-detached house character of course comes into play because no window is possible on one side and
the arrangement of the rooms is rather oriented to the longitudinal side (as opposed to a single-family house).
Regarding the dimensions, however, there are enough single-family houses that have similar measurements (I have checked various pages of prefab house providers and their show houses again). We get about 138 sqm of living space with the floor plan, distributed over ground and upper floors. A typical semi-detached or terraced house reaches a similar living space, but distributed over 3 floors. In this respect, I would say it is closer to a single-family house.
Friends of ours have a single-family house with 125 sqm, the same number of rooms. Nobody there suffers from claustrophobia. Not even at a party with 10 guests.
We have considered a change of flooring kitchen (tiles) – living/dining area (parquet). However, I could not visualize that with the program – unfortunately only one type of flooring was possible...
Thanks
I would like to advise you to see something like this live. With and without a wall.

It is probably wider than a towel or even bowling alley terraced house. Nevertheless, it remains in character a semi-detached house, with the typical concept:

For this, I consider the recessing of the stair area unsuitable. Rather, I would think of a change of flooring (in both visualizations the same floor is shown for both areas – in my opinion this is a kitchen with TV corner).

We are talking here about an 8 x 11 floor plan. Sometimes not even “normal” houses have that...
Thanks
