IKEA SÄVEDAL kitchen front, white tone, take side panels?

Hello,

I like these Sävedal fronts. Is it necessary to also buy matching Sävedal side panels, or can I use the cabinets without side panels? The kitchen unit is against the walls on the left and right, only one tall cabinet has a visible side panel, and if the white does not differ too much from that of the front, I would place the cabinet without a side panel.

So at Ikea on site it looked okay, no cover page was used.

I also think that color-wise it is not a problem. However, if a decorative strip is used below the wall cabinets, one should consider whether it might look strange if it is not finished on the sides by a cover panel.

The color tone of the cabinets already matches the Sävedal fronts, but in my opinion, the kitchen looks more high-quality with end panels. Not least because they mostly cover the sides of the fronts. That is a nicer finish.

I also have a tall cabinet at the end of a row, which closes off against the wall, and I thought I would have to use 2 end panels because only one, on the visible side, would not look good. However, I then omitted the end panel on the wall side and do not think it looks unbalanced in any way. I also find it better to attach the filler strip if there is no end panel on that side.

I have also used the simple decorative strips, rectangular with a chamfer. The decorative strips not only cover the unsightly undersides of the wall cabinets, but you can also relatively discreetly and inconspicuously accommodate the lighting and various holders, e.g., for kitchen rolls, behind them. Overall, the kitchen with end panels and decorative strips looks more harmonious and complete. But of course, it is also a matter of taste. The best thing is, of course, to take a look at this at IKEA beforehand. They generally install decorative strips and end panels, at least here at our IKEA.
