IKEA METOD kitchen with external oven - how to adjust the height?

Hello, I am currently planning my first own kitchen. Since I already have a stove with a height of 85 cm, I am now facing the problem of height adjustment. The cabinet height is 88 cm and the countertop is 3.8 cm thick (Karlby Walnut). This makes the total height 91.8 cm and I am missing 6.8 cm. Can I compensate for this with Metod legs and an 18 mm thick OSB board? Or should I build legs directly under all cabinets? How is it with the dishwasher (Välgjord, 81.8 cm height, 3.8 cm countertop), as I am also missing 2.4 cm here? Is this intended by Ikea? Since the nearest Ikea is 100 km away, I would prefer not to plan everything on site and am already grateful for any help.

So the simple things first. The dishwasher fits. The countertop never rests directly on the dishwasher. The gap is covered by the door when it is closed, as it protrudes slightly over the dishwasher.

Is your stove freestanding? So it has its own casing? Can you possibly still adjust the height of the stove itself? Top edge of the stove = bottom edge of the countertop would already be enough so that the cabinet sides are no longer visible. You often see that the cooktop is lower than the rest of the kitchen. Otherwise, I don’t see anything against raising the stove by placing a board underneath it. Although I don’t know if it is okay from a fire protection point of view to use an OBS board for that.

Thank you for the quick response! In the meantime, I have looked at the dishwasher manual; in the size specifications it states 818 mm and directly below 898 mm, does this mean that it can be screwed up that high? That seems unreal to me. But it would alleviate my problems

Small addendum on the topic of fire protection: Next to the stove are the METOD cabinets, which are also made of wood. These would probably be more fire-prone than the panel under the stove? Especially since it is further protected by the "Herdschublade"?

The minimum distances should be found in the instructions for your stove, including those concerning the height from the cooking surface to the surrounding work surface.

Hello, I wanted to give an update. The kitchen is installed, and there were no minimum distances specified in the oven’s manual. We have kept it at the 85 cm height and screwed the cabinets around it a bit higher; this is quite comfortable for working. The oven does not get hot, we tested it at 250 degrees and the sides remained cool all the time. Quite different from the [Välgjord dishwasher], which even heats up the sink next to it o.O Thank you very much for the help!
