IKEA Metod Kitchen - Ideas / Suggestions for Planning?

I have no problems with the Atlant siphon. With the usual siphons, this often takes up too much space to easily accommodate the trash bins under the sink. Other siphons also fit on Ikea sinks, but you won’t find anything suitable at the hardware store and the employees there have no idea. You just need a 3 1/2" sink drain. These are now also used on sinks from Blanco or Franke.

I have an external sink with an external siphon and found a bin online that is even exactly a few centimeters lower with a lid than the small Ikea bin. Otherwise, it fits into the cutout at the back right as if made for it:



On the left, I have the long Ikea bin in the 60 cm drawer, the small Ikea bin at the front right, and the external bin behind it. If needed, I’m happy to take a photo. Of course, you have to measure exactly.

about the sink: my husband unfortunately doesn't like composite granite at all, I would like a ceramic basin, but I’m probably too clumsy for that.....it would have to be replaced after at most 1 year....probably sooner! ;)
So stainless steel and no Ikea siphon, my husband hates that like the plague (what he doesn't like...it's crazy :D )
Then we will probably source the basin "externally" :)

I will measure the kitchen again exactly, I don’t want to have made a mistake somewhere! because it would look much better without the huge panels! thanks!

If you don't take a siphon from IKEA, then make sure it is a space-saving siphon. That might save you some space problems.

I would probably choose a stainless steel sink with a linen texture.

I would also put a waste bin under the sink. IKEA has a nice bucket system for waste separation that can be built into the bottom drawer. In our kitchen, we have such a bucket drawer installed at the top, directly under the countertop. It is very practical; you don’t have to bend down all the time and can sweep crumbs etc. directly from the countertop into the organic waste bin.

Yeah, I’ve already discovered the manure bin system too, but aren’t they tinywiddleminuscule??? I think I’ll have to check them out in real life! :)
