ok, that is somehow understandable. It would be logistically too complicated if the planning software and the Ikea employee attach either a horizontal drawer front or a door in 20x80 depending on the front type. Above all, you then need different cover plugs for the drawer front for the unused pre-drilled holes there. I will definitely rely on the horizontal drawer fronts for Veddinge (uniform edge all around, no grain because it is solid matte), even if I might have to organize two screws and four cover plugs extra.

During installation, it was also somewhat poorly designed that the handle has to go through the pot hole. The consequence is that you have to make something yourself to support or compensate for the distance, so that you can screw the handle flush on the inside. Normally, there would have been the gray plastic body for the hole, but it already has holes itself and does not harmonize well with the white body. So I took the white cover from step 10 of the linked instructions, drilled it, and bridged the distance with washers.

And I'm not 100% satisfied with the drawer slide. The drawer stands slightly off at the bottom, which is visible with the neighboring cabinets (in my case only one cabinet) and which I also couldn't get under control with different loadings top/bottom/back/front. You can press the drawer from below and then it forms a line with the neighboring cabinet - logically, but only as long as you press.

if the drawer at the bottom sticks out a little, then you should remove the side covers of the runners and readjust the height alignment of the drawers. the reason for the protrusion will be that the runners are putting too much tension on the front, meaning the top drawer is too low and the bottom drawer is too high, which causes a (not visible without a level) bulge outward if you were to push the front flush at the bottom.

this problem occurs exactly the same with the 40 cm pull-out cabinets where the front is firmly connected to a drawer runner at the top and bottom. I would be surprised if you couldn't solve the problem, the Maximera runners have very good adjustment options.
