We have a small battery-powered stick vacuum from AEG, where the vacuum can also be removed as a handheld vacuum. It is used to clean daily dirt from the entrance area and dining space. Additionally, we also have a Crosswave vacuum mop, which is really great. Especially for our fairly rough tiles on the ground floor.

We had bought exactly such a cordless vacuum for the entrance area to quickly vacuum up some dirt (sand). Unfortunately, it didn’t work at all; the cordless vacuum just pushed the sand back and forth, it was really like a toy. I’ve also heard about this Crosswave; they say you can even clean carpets damp with it. Does that work?

Best regards Sabine

The vacuum robot runs daily, unless there are too many toys on the floor.
Mopping with a cloth, everything is thought through beforehand.
Kitchen quickly cleaned with the steam cleaner if needed.

How to keep everything as clean and well-maintained as possible so that it stays beautiful for a long time has already been on my mind, even though we haven’t even moved in yet

We are getting tiles throughout the entire ground floor. For this, I am thinking about buying a steam VACUUM CLEANER or a mop VACUUM CLEANER, in any case I want a device that sucks up the dirty liquid because I find that with normal mopping the dirty liquid stays in the grout, which causes it to turn black.

I have heard several times now that for tiles (porcelain stoneware) you should use a detergent without surfactants because otherwise deposits/detergent streaks form that are difficult to remove.

you have to use a cordless vacuum cleaner with a motorized brush, then it works. the Dyson ones are pretty good.

the Crosswave is really great, but they have their own product in the house specifically for carpet cleaning. it will never be as good as a dedicated carpet cleaner, if only to keep competition from their own company down.

For the carpet, we only use the carpet roller on our Crosswave, without pressing the button for wet cleaning. So far, it works quite well on our high-pile carpet. Then I can also recommend the Crosswave to you. We also have very rough tiles throughout the entire ground floor that can only be cleaned with a lot of effort using a regular mop. Especially when the little one has spilled some sauce or something sticky again, the combination of mechanical cleaning and moisture is great. The only annoying thing is having to completely clean the vacuum every time. That means removing and cleaning the roller and dirt filter and disposing of the dirty water. The small cordless vacuum from AEG isn’t the best, but it does a good job of sucking up loose dirt (sand, soil, dust)...
