That is correct, I would estimate that 90% of all solid houses in this area are built with the red bricks from a Viennese brickworks.
The remaining 10% are divided between aerated concrete and "normal" concrete.

Whereas aerated concrete is becoming increasingly popular, especially in southern Austria (southern Burgenland) and Upper Austria. The trend probably comes from the fact that, on the one hand, the requirements for subsidies are becoming stricter, and on the other hand, fewer and fewer people want classic EPS insulation and the alternatives are expensive.

The north arrow should be on the plan where the highway is located, north is to the right on the plan.

You have to take whatever your builder uses anyway. Aerated concrete, commonly known as Ytong, insulates better than the red one but is more sound-transmitting. You can get a house in Germany with 36.5 cm aerated concrete without additional insulation just plastered directly, according to the Energy Saving Ordinance. -As far as I know, that doesn't work with the red one. It needs additional insulation.- Karsten

Stupid. In the evening after work full shade. Do it like this: house set far back, terrace facing the street, driveway on the playground side - and as privacy screen let a hedge grow, or you live with the fact that the passerby waves at you when you’re grilling in sweatpants and a tank top.

Looks like there is a construction site. The neighboring houses stand neatly in a row. I don’t think the house would be allowed to be placed in the east.

We have unfilled 36.5 cm bricks and without any special measures KfW55 (and not even perimeter insulation under the basement floor slab). Why should you not be able to get a house through the Energy Saving Ordinance with bricks?
