I experimented again with the front door facing the street and came to the conclusion that the orientation towards the sun on this plot should perhaps not be overdramatized, but that one could maybe focus on the garden. If you use the full width (10m), the house opens up a bit more pleasingly towards the terrace, I think. However, I am always at 10.15m width. Seems to be a magic number. Hence the question... Variante 1: Variante 2: (stairs no landing)

Plot width on the west = 16.07m
Plot width on the east = 15.59m

We spent the weekend on the property and the highway is definitely not a problematic source of noise. The bees and bumblebees in our currently blooming [Ringlottenbaum] are clearly louder to hear than the highway, which interestingly is subjectively perceived more from the north than from the west. Probably because there is an exit there (a few kilometers away).
