On the ground floor, only the kitchen wall can be changed/reduced. Adding walls is not a problem. The walls next to the stairs are load-bearing walls. The heating room, stairs, cable duct, and guest toilet are fixed. I will inquire about the inward-opening door in the guest toilet. If the sink fits on the "longer wall," it should be possible. Although it could get quite tight...

And yes, the window planning is quite special. Especially the gable wall. Only one door at the bottom? No window for the kitchen???

They were very particular about that. We couldn't have a say in it. Luckily, they came to their senses and at least changed the windows on the upper floor in all the houses. The inner windows of the gable wall were moved about 60cm outward. Unfortunately, I do not yet have the revised floor plan.

Why does it have to be a windbreak? Honestly, I don’t see how that can be implemented sensibly. You can only pinch a few centimeters from the kitchen if you make it a two-liner and not a U. I actually only see a cloakroom under the stairs here.

I would install a 2 m wardrobe cabinet immediately to the left of the entrance door. This also makes use of the dead corner of the kitchen U-shape. On the hallway wall of the kitchen, I would then plan a line of pure tall cabinets, so the wardrobe niche is not noticeable. Stove and sink on the exterior wall.

I would plan a sliding door by the stairs. Then you can separate the hallway when needed.
What is the offset between the boiler room and the WC supposed to be?
Rarely have I seen such an undeveloped floor plan. As if someone took a 1970s floor plan, deleted a few walls, and then lost the desire to continue planning.
