The argumentation is somewhat "simple" and completely neglects what has been written here so far. If done properly, energy costs with an air-to-water heat pump are generally and in new buildings somewhat lower than with gas, and the total running costs without depreciation are significantly cheaper; nevertheless, we are "only" talking about a few hundred euros per year in comparison. No one can certainly see into the future here.
