I think it might look the same with us! But we are still in the middle of planning. We have received the first offers and will now see what would be most suitable for our needs.

Yes, at the beginning we were always firmly set on an air-water heat pump and did not consider anything else. After many opinions in our circle of acquaintances, who independently recommended exactly this combination, gas + underfloor heating + fireplace and large buffer tank, we have now decided on this. There are advantages and disadvantages to everything. Always a matter of personal taste and, of course, the wallet.

Do you then achieve KFW 55 with it?

You can't really say that with us, since we are building our house ourselves, or rather my cousin has a construction company and is building the house for us. We have an energy consultant involved who advised us on the materials, but whether we achieve KfW 55 or if the flow temperature is even better or much worse, I can't say. Of course, we are building most of it according to the latest standards, and I think the heating system would not jeopardize KfW 55. Unfortunately, I am not an expert enough on that, sorry.

All good
I read from a [Massivhaus Anbieter] that this combination doesn’t reach 55.. but I’m not familiar enough with it and haven’t really dealt with it yet.
But if you look at the conditions (cheaper loan, for example), you can almost get them without [KFW 55] right now!

Yes, we save a lot of money by building ourselves because we personally know construction managers, architects, structural engineers, material suppliers, and many craftsmen. Of course, we make sure that everything is built according to the latest standards (triple-glazed windows and so on), but we certainly don't force people to strictly adhere to KfW 55 standards. We trust the individual people.
