Funding outside of KFW - What still makes sense now?

Geothermal energy is the cleanest concept, but it certainly does not recoup the additional costs over its lifetime. If money is available, it is a nice luxury.

Regarding "we need the basement otherwise we won't be able to fit it," maybe you could simply present the plot and the development plan in a floor plan thread and see if anyone has a good idea. Without a plan, I wouldn't dare to say anything more specific now.

Yes, thank you! I really think it makes sense to start a general consultation request thread. I'm overwhelmed with many topics here. The calculation of the construction costs also seems extremely high to me. Which subforum should I use best? Is it allowed to show such a calculation (which is anonymized) here, or is that not allowed?

The best thing would be to first thoroughly search the forum using your terms, e.g. basement, controlled residential ventilation ([Kontrollierte] residential ventilation [decentralized vs centralized]), LWWP (air-to-water heat pump), underfloor heating, etc. Otherwise, I also gladly recommend the relevant guides from the consumer advice center ("Construction") or Stiftung Warentest (Homeowners Handbook, for deeper exploration of further subtopics there are also the extensions building description, planning, contracts, acceptance inspections...). They personally helped me a lot for a neutral overview. The few euros are well invested. Regarding funding (which was the original topic): each federal state also has some, usually quite specific, I would google that.

I have already tried to read up on the individual components. But it always goes further into detail and especially with the various possible combinations of the different areas. It quickly goes from hundreds to thousands. I am relatively far along with [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] and I think I have understood it so far. I am currently active in another forum regarding heating and I realize that the deeper you dive in, the less I seem to understand. The problem: Without at least having some understanding of the basics, you very quickly become dependent on the executing experts. This can, if you're unlucky, go wrong. In other words, cost explosions, maximum complex implementation, or the one-fits-all scenario, because that's just how it has always been done.

Cities and municipalities also sometimes have their own funding to attract or support young people/families.

Just got the update from the energy consulting. KFW40+ now only provides 18,000€ and that only as a loan, not as a grant. Since the KFW40plus package would cost us about 70,000€, it will probably have to proceed without funding and therefore initially without photovoltaics and battery. At least I can start with the 36.5 Poroton or BIMs and don’t have to take the 40. Or do you think that is short-sighted? Will I realistically ever recover the cost of the thicker bricks economically?
