A house without controlled residential ventilation can also be healthy if you can ventilate daily. Don’t generalize everything. If an earner works from home, then he can also ventilate. Basement? Has a lot of useless space, I would rather build with a gable roof and attic. Do you want a moon house or what? I thought this was about subsidies or the fear of not being able to build due to shortages? I have the feeling that since the existence of design flooring, the carpet one should stay on is missing.

Design floor existence? I can't quite follow at the moment. The controlled residential ventilation is pretty much the only "feature" I don't want to omit because I consider it very sensible and it's not so easy to add later. Unlike the photovoltaic system. And as already described, it shouldn't be a "moon house". I also don't want to spend huge amounts of money on "unnecessary" areas. But it should be sensible and sustainable. Within my financial framework. And I did not say that I couldn't build because of the lack of funding. I only said that it has simply become very expensive now. And therefore I don't want to invest money in frills that don't really benefit residential health, coziness, or the environment. And of course... if funding ultimately brings something, I don't want to leave it on the table... because I am far from being able to not worry about money.

HI.. yes thanks. I also read that it is planned. However, apparently no one knows yet in what form and scope. It might not be funded as high anymore and unfortunately the pot is capped at one billion. My application is with the energy consultant but the lady already said that she alone has nearly a hundred applications on her desk. The lady from the developer also said that they already have larger projects just waiting to apply for the funding. I think it will be a gamble whether you still get something here and whether it will pay off. We'll see :)

Just keep it simple! Everything that can and wants to be built!

Then build whatever you want. For my part, I was already looking forward to ventilation earlier. I just found it disgusting in that weather to open all the windows in the entire apartment and stand in the cold draft. And accordingly, they were closed again far too quickly. If money is tight, I would first save on the energy standard. The extra cost for a higher-class building envelope hardly pays off through heating costs. Controlled residential ventilation is certainly more helpful because, besides comfort, you can ventilate without massive energy losses. Personally, I don’t understand why we require highly insulated building envelopes but still warm up the outside air through the windows. There is also decentralized controlled residential ventilation. It’s unpopular here in the forum but is installed tens of thousands of times in multi-family houses. We also once listened to such a fan at friends’ place and I didn’t find it loud. And if it bothers me at night, it just gets switched off at night. Quite simple. Skipping the basement is a decision I would currently call premature at least for me. Ultimately, our plot had more slope than expected and that’s why we lowered the entire house by half a meter compared to the original plan (otherwise the house would be floating above the terrain), with consequences for flood protection. I think we will be happy with our large attic, though. But if I could start over again, I would look at that much more closely and calculate it through. Of the 4 neighbors who have started so far, all also build without a basement. But the two I’ve talked to about this topic so far are similarly only moderately happy with their decision as I am. At this point, I would simply recommend you to look at the plot carefully and then decide. Back to the topic of funding... there’s quite a bit in the federal states. Some are, as pointed out, quite complicated. Some are also simple, for the L-Bank "Living with Children" program, it’s enough to have a child moving in. But then it’s only a promotional loan, qualifying you for the combo loan as another component which has a quite good interest rate. Maybe there is something like that in your area too.

Controlled residential ventilation is, as I said, a must for me because I believe it can truly have a positive effect on indoor health. Unfortunately, a basement is also necessary because otherwise we simply won't have enough rooms needed for the three kids and the two offices. Having mine in the basement is acceptable. The whole house is slightly on a slope, and I hope to at least get a small window into the basement office because of that. Thank you, I will take another look at the funding. It's somewhat unclear what exactly is subsidized (at least for me as a beginner). Otherwise, I inquired with the two developers we have consulted so far about a ring trench collector. But that was met with little enthusiasm. I'm not yet sure if this is just due to lack of experience. What do you think? Does something like that make sense, or is the classic solution with air as the medium better?
