What is the outdoor area supposed to look like anyway? What do you want to pile up?

and the question would be, HOW MUCH would the savings be? many items (heating/installations/interior walls/and so on) remain unchanged – if only "empty" space is saved

Every change entails changes on all floors. The greater potential savings may lie in the slope, in the outdoor area.

No, there is no high-rise building in the south. However, the view to the south is really not nice compared to the northeast. Therefore, we definitely want our bedroom to face north (nice view, garden).

The upstairs floor, as I said, is generally still under discussion. It would of course be nice if the utility room/bathroom upstairs could be placed closer to each other.

Technology in Garage I know several new buildings in existing structures with a technical room in the garage, so I see that as unproblematic.

The garage driveway rises 48 cm over a length of 6 meters, so about an 8% incline on average. A terrace facing northwest-west is definitely planned.

Would you completely remove the pantry or just the access to the garage?

Site plan (our parcel with red dot), I have to look for the elevation plan:

Behind the house (north / northwest), soil is to be built up for the terrace. For the rest of the garden, it would probably need to be retained or slope down gently. This has not yet been determined or we are not that far in our thinking.

well, you definitely need storage space (e.g. for vacuum cleaner, beverage crates, freezer, etc.). The wardrobe would also be too small for me. Maybe you can also store the beverage crates in the garage, then a passage would make sense. If I had to decide, I would keep the current room layout for now and remove the passage to the garage, but make the pantry accessible from the hallway. That way you gain a tall cabinet in the kitchen. Maybe a built-in cabinet under the stairs for additional storage?
