Yes, exactly, this is the template. And as I said, we quite like it. However, the draft has one room too few on the upper floor, and the desired later separation between the ground floor and the upper floor is not possible.
The thing with the garage is certainly correct. It looks very long. But I think the position of the garage on the side of the property would fit. Possibly an open carport would be the better alternative to make the building appear more compact. With the room program on the ground floor, I think it will always result in a bungalow-like floor plan, which of course can/must still be optimized.
Regarding your question about why windfang and anteroom: For me, the two rooms have different functions. The windfang is simply meant to welcome guests, where you can hang up coats and put down shoes, and in my opinion, it should not be too narrow. The anteroom is then clearly part of the actual living area, serving as the connection between the individual areas. In this case, the living-dining area is to the south, the parents' area to the west, and the staircase to the upper floor is to the east. The windfang should be equipped with tiles and the anteroom with parquet. Friends of ours have it like this (a large windfang including wardrobe and then an anteroom), and we really like it.
Access to the bedroom and bathroom (including WC) via the dressing room is certainly a good idea and is also solved that way in the template. However, it does not really correspond to our morning and evening routines. We also want a separate WC and not integrated into the bathroom, as we simply think it is more practical and it also spares us an extra guest WC.
Thanks in any case for your idea. We are very grateful for all suggestions. One quickly becomes blind to issues when involved.
