Then it happened well. Or rather with eye and mind.

Exactly, for this reason there is hardly any way to move a wall without triggering a chain reaction. Usually, there are no improvements seen in the overall picture.
However, I aim for the asymmetry of the closet to the advantage of a window. Even though much here is subordinated to symmetry, which was also well staged, I consider some exciting moments to be correct for a successful interior. At , it is the window in the closet that mixes up the furnishing; furthermore, I find the central door to the open space very unfortunate and boring. Double doors can either loosen up or seem stodgy. Here I see the latter and would prefer a 1/3 2/3 solution in the hallway that offers the possibility of a sideboard or a picture wall. Also, in the 9 sqm office one should stick to one door – whichever tactically suits the way of life.
In the guest WC I would swap the washbasin and the toilet.

Solid thing. Just a few tiny things, which are not necessarily mandatory:
- the kitchen door blocks the walkway or significantly narrows it if the cabinets are to be placed as shown. This bottleneck can be annoying in the long run.
- many cabinets are drawn precisely by the architect with very different depths. Are these all custom-made furniture? If not, finding corresponding brand suppliers might be very time-consuming. For example, the room divider in the living room would need a real back panel, and even that can look strange. Therefore, I would check all these depths to see if my desired furniture fits there.
- I would also soundproof or reinforce the wall between the bedroom and the children’s room. The way to the bed is annoyingly long. I would probably move the door forward (to the children’s room side). Also, it wouldn’t be a sliding door.
- this hobby room in the basement is also supposed to be a guest bedroom? Has that been thought through? What kind of window will be installed there?
Otherwise, congratulations – I think it will be very nice. :)

Yvonne skipped the words in between, and I – as loyal readers know, contrary to my inclination – joined in this restraint. The fatal thing is: on the one hand, these are valid small flaws, and Yvonne as well as I would certainly have found similar (partly different) ones. On the other hand, by polishing them out, one might ruin the base coat. Discussants X/Y/Z could likewise discover small flaws, presumably all valid as well. But what comes then? – even if you only rework the three most frequently mentioned ones (warning conflict: the three most frequently mentioned small flaws would be numbers 3, 5, and 9, but these are not the most important from the clients’ perspective, which would be 2, 5, and 8 – so should one rework 2, 3, 5, 8, and 9 now?) you have already triggered the domino spiral and in the end, an almost perfect design is thrown in the trash because it is completely wrecked by patches.

Therefore – dear fellow readers, write this all nicely in your poetry albums: whoever wants to improve a 95% successful result has neither understood Pareto nor will they avoid opening a Pandora’s box!
So much then for the explanation why I once held back here. Nothing is “perfect,” and I myself am known to be a happy tenant in a house not planned by me.

We haven't installed the panels yet, we’re not that far along. I probably can’t post any pictures here due to copyright. Just enter "Glasbrüstung Modellscheiben" into the big search engine and switch to image results. There you’ll find a graphic with different stair railings. The last example shows a model panel. Basically, it is a panel made using a pattern of pressed wood chips because the staircase doesn’t follow a straight line at any point.
The price is driven up here by the elaborate pattern creation and, of course, the special setup times at the glass manufacturer.
As I said, next time we would definitely define the entire geometry of the staircase in detail. Probably the costs for the staircase remain more or less the same in the end, but the appearance will be as desired and wider steps are more comfortable when carrying things up and down the stairs or when two people pass each other.

I just noticed that nothing is planned on your terrace regarding sun or possibly wind protection. Maybe your trees are already tall enough. If not, I would really recommend planning that in now when considering the construction. Mobile parasols can be super annoying, and no one wants to sit in the blazing sun. Possibly, drilling, wiring, or foundations will need to be done again there as well. Later on, with these amounts of money, you won’t feel like dealing with that. We have a recess and an awning. Great for wind and sun.
