For the all-purpose room size on the ground floor, maybe consider whether to increase the planned room height of 2.53m a bit. Of course, you have to keep the staircase in mind.
I completely agree, that was actually my thought too. We will go at least to 2.70m.
I might possibly skip the two fixed glazing panels each at the corner of the house behind the couch and next to the dining table.

On the ground floor to the east and south, all smart controlled venetian blinds. In the bedrooms we need complete darkness and would have gone with roller shutters. Of course, that has disadvantages especially for the kids' rooms during the day. Or has anyone had good experience with a combination?
