P.S.: the bidet won't get a privacy screen (?) - then the famous photo of Kommune 1 should be hung above it *ROTFL* *SCNR*

If you want more ideas, suggestions, and critiques, you should clarify what purpose the master bathroom and the communal bathroom are supposed to serve. Because obviously it deviates from average usage.

Just logic in space allocation. If it makes sense to you this way – build it like that.

Because not all of the laundry originates in the master area...

That can definitely be done. But then you have to plan that all change jackets, seasonal shoes, scarf-hat-gloves, sports shoes and so on need to be stored somewhere else. So space must be allocated in the dressing room, attic, or wherever it is supposed to go. Because nowadays it is usually the homeowners’ wish not to store all this in the wardrobe, attic or such, but rather in the cloakroom.

Is this really the house YOU want to build? I hope you’re not just sugarcoating and romanticizing everything, because in the house, everything from the wardrobe to the master bathroom is actually too small and cramped. Do you already have 4 children or do you want to have them? Have you ever thought about moving the master bedroom downstairs with 4 children and putting the utility room upstairs instead? In my opinion, that would give you much better design possibilities in your case!

Hey

so my comments:
1) KZ2 is too small compared to the other rooms. That will be unfair and will definitely lead to disputes (unless the kids are old enough and it is communicated directly). I do see the dilemma though regarding the hallway access. Does this staircase and its position absolutely have to be there?
2) Your bed is right next to the kids’ room wall. Keep in mind: neither do you want your kids to overhear everything nor do your kids want to listen in on every nightly phone call. I would possibly move the dressing room and bathroom to the front - or completely swap the position of the bedroom.
3) The office downstairs is quite large - really consider moving the bedroom downstairs. That will definitely be practical later on. Instead, use the office as kids’ room 2 and make the bedroom the kids’ room. That way, the large guest WC can be omitted and you can have your own bathroom downstairs while the kids (and thereby you as well) have complete privacy upstairs.
4) I also find the laundry chute misplaced. If anywhere, it should be accessible to all in the bathroom and lead directly into the utility room. But then the staircase gets in the way... think about the process: how and how much do you wash - with 4 kids there is a lot of laundry, and there are many many trips that are "wasted". Eventually it will annoy you.
5) I find the pantry positioned somewhat strangely. Everything is very convoluted. How about extending it along the entire wall up to the fridge - but narrower?

I would arrange the upper floor like this in your case, for example. (Mirrored so that the sides match again)

Okay, next attempt:

I have come to realize that the non-existent passage to the hallway is pretty annoying, so I inserted a U-shaped staircase and aligned everything accordingly.
The main improvements are still:

- Laundry chute in the bathroom, with washing machine/dryer underneath in the utility room
- Living room enlarged, I think that's really enough now, right?
- Small storage room in the hallway for vacuum cleaner etc.
- Kitchen now better furnished

The master bathroom has remained small, but we think it's okay.
