With this house size, unfortunately yes. Maybe someone still has ideas. But for me, it comes down to the decision hallway door versus kitchen size. :) I think the kitchen wins. :D

for me, the kitchen would also win. you do spend more time there than in the hallway ;)

Ditto! Especially with the background that I am "done" with the kitchen planning. Nothing would change, only the water connection would have to be replanned. The exhaust air of the cooker hood would then be guided out through the basement window via the floor, as in an earlier plan when the cooktop was still on the island. We found this solution better from the start and that way we have no visible drilling on the house wall.

And please excuse the terrible spelling mistakes... I think my phone is working against me!?

Of course I would like everything, hahaha. That's how we women are. The bigger kitchen would be brilliant! But I find it very strange when guests come and pass through the kitchen and living area. And I myself would also find it odd to always walk through the kitchen... it would of course be great if the passage from the living area to the kitchen is enlarged and the groceries can go directly from the hallway to their destination. But I have to let that sink in a bit...

It's also a question of whether you're really a top chef. Some people buy a huge kitchen and then constantly order pizzas.
I wouldn't mind that the kitchen is small in a small house. However, we only cook on weekends and there are just two of us.

"Both" would work as Yvonne suggested, by rotating the kitchen. That would also be one of my favorites. Windows then at a normal sill height but also nicely wide, tall cabinets on the wall to the WC. How far the thing extends into the living area would have to be carefully considered. Small cooks smaller, big cooks bigger. :)
It would also be good to know the rest of the furnishing.
