Your personal limit is 320k€. But the house is located in a completely different region. It's almost double that amount. So there's no point in fiddling with the floor plan and making the 30m2 smaller. For 320k, you can get about 140m2 on a slab foundation.

The mentioned items earthworks, disposal have already been paid from own funds.
The planner estimates the outdoor facilities at about €50k, but in this context we want to focus more on the house floor plan and only marginally on the costs there.

Regarding the example with the children maybe the following objection:
During cooking the children should be inside the house. Later when they are older, it should be manageable to not watch them for a few minutes now and then.
Don’t know if that is really such a big issue. Do others also see it as a major drawback?
Also, the odd child’s scream should be bearable in a practice ;)

District of Bamberg, rural area. 18 km to Bamberg. About 26 km to Bayreuth.

Hopefully, that's still within an affordable range. Don't rely on benchmarks from relatives from a few years ago.

The issue of costs can, at least in my opinion, only be discussed with great difficulty here in the forum. Too many factors such as personal contribution, the builder’s equipment (tools, etc.), own trades, and much more cannot be described here. Information from planners and friends only serves as a guide. Prices rise too quickly.

Therefore, my request once again..
Are there any suggestions for improvement from your side in regard to the floor plan?
Maybe someone has had similar circumstances and would like to share about it.

Why should children be inside the house while cooking? Younger children live outside - if you let them and there is no bad weather.

Not everyone finds the noise of children pleasant. Many perceive it as a disturbance.

Not the most expensive area, yet it still doesn't work out. Costs that are to be covered by equity and are not listed here, we cannot guess.
50k for the garden evaporates to not much on a slope. At least if you want to fill everything up.

Plan what you really need. And not uh slope so cellar, because of funding there will be a granny flat.
Now you have a practice with living accommodation in a rental house look.
