The view is beautiful – so why such a "small" window? Why not 4 m floor-to-ceiling?

Are you referring to the window in the stairwell? In the first draft, YPG also had it like that. It may have been shifted somewhat due to the program in the further design. But maybe this way it’s easier to understand why a landing staircase was planned in the east.

At the moment, I would still tend to extend the garage roof further towards the east. That way, a kind of shelter / wood storage area would be created there.

I just saw with acquaintances who have already made additions there after 5 years. What do you think? (regardless of possibly higher costs due to the enlarged roof area).

My wood goes into the wood shelter at the garden house and not against the beautiful house wall. Depending on the fireplace, however, the house wall would probably be more practical because it is closer to the house. But our fireplace has storage boxes for a small supply of wood.

yes, it was just an example. You could also store other things here, e.g. wheels, garden furniture, and whatever else comes up. It was just something I noticed at friends' places, and in retrospect it really doesn’t look good. It almost doesn’t fit with the house, looks patched on, but it was needed. The garden house is of course a different matter ^^
