Yes. But what good does that do?
I also often have clients in front of me who say, "What? That's it? And who will now make the necessary adjustments in system xyz?"
Then I have to say every time, "Not me. That's not in the contract. We can gladly offer that as an addendum."

I checked the floor plans in every new version, and three times walls were drawn incorrectly. They had to be corrected. If I had just signed, the wardrobe wouldn’t fit into the niche now.

The general contractor must assume that the client has looked at and checked the plans before signing and submitting the building application. With the signature, one also confirms that this is exactly how one wants to build and not otherwise.

I only believe it was an architect when I have seen the plan stamp.

Who benefits from this silly debate about whether it was a female architect or the bricklayer apprentice?

No one. I experienced it myself. The owners were adamant that the architect planned it that way. But the plan stamp said engineering office xyz. But you are right.

So otherwise yes, just not with the bathroom layout? Bathroom layouts differ so much between the Meiers, Müllers, and Schulzes that the planners at catalog homes cannot be blamed. They have to ensure (and they do) that the room is as universal as possible. Especially with the family bathroom I prefer, every building family wants a deviation, especially in the spatial arrangement; the similarities are greater with the objects themselves (and strangely enough, relatively more builders want a urinal in the guest WC than a bidet in the family bathroom).

It was no extra charge for us, so we don't care.
