Oh, was that plotted by the architect? (I thought the bathroom layout was "provided by the builder").

Well, if you sign off on it like that, you can't complain afterwards.
I also don't sign a contract for a yellow Opel and then complain that I get a yellow Opel and not a white E-Class.

The architect may plan nonsense, but I don't have to accept it like that.

It is difficult to depict a bathroom in a building application as an empty space with only the downpipes, even if the owners exclude the layout idea as their own work. That’s how something like an "Anything with shower door" comes about.
By the way, I drive the red Opel more often than the black E-Class :)

This layout is indeed from the architect. We also told her that we didn't like it. But we first had to have something drawn in so that it could move forward. She then said she plans the pipes generously so that we still have freedom in the design with the sanitary wholesaler.
