Bathroom layouts in particular vary so much between the Meiers, Müllers, and Schulzes, that no blame can be placed on the planners of catalog houses. They are supposed to ensure (and do so) that the space is as universal as possible. Especially in the family bathroom I prefer, every building family wants a deviation, especially in the spatial arrangement; with the objects themselves the similarities are greater (and strangely enough, relatively more builders want a urinal in the guest WC than a bidet in the family bathroom).
