for hygienic reasons. I have also never rented an apartment with a built-in fitted kitchen.
But it is about your own house that you live in yourself ;)
that I cannot understand the expenses for the outdoor area
The costs here for the outdoor areas relate 70/80% to the paving, splash protection and paths or borders.
I also think a few paths, lawn and bushes are not that expensive. And cuttings from the circle of friends, relatives and acquaintances are enough at the beginning?
Think again. You can put cuttings on your windowsill. We also dug and planted everything ourselves. For that we bought bushes, shrubs and trees several times for several hundred euros. For the hedges, the good soil in bags was as expensive as the plants - 4 plants per meter. After one year, perennials and co. were collected weekly at discounters, nurseries and garden centers. The 50-euro notes changed owners every time. I was 47 and also wanted to one day see my hedge and not the path behind it. That’s why it has to be 80-120 cm plants. Your cuttings take years to grow knee-high... We definitely invested 5,000 in plants in the first 2 years. After that it was at the beginning of the season and spread over the year. You never really finish anyway, because some things grow differently than you imagine or also die.
