I don't need hangers. My wife has her own wardrobe. So both ;)

yes, to each their own. I wouldn't want to hang the jackets on a hanger every time. Kids can't reach them either. The wardrobe would be way too small for 4 people in our case!

hehe, yeah. I used to be like that too :p I wouldn't know how and where to store all that stuff for 4 people. In the utility room? o_O

If this is a cloakroom, respect. Whoever has one, can.:)

We have about a 60cm deep and 150cm wide wall niche for the most important cloakroom. I built a floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobe from a combination of hardware store side panels and Ikea fronts+interior. This way, our jackets and some of the little one's jackets are on hangers, and for the most important jackets, there are also pull-out hooks on the side that he can reach himself. Additionally, there are shelves for hats, scarves, etc., and shoe compartments below for the currently used shoes. Above the jacket area, there is storage space up to the ceiling. The entire wardrobe is flush with the wall. Under the stairs, we also have another shoe cabinet and a tall cupboard for less frequently used clothes and shoes.

With the knowledge I have now, I would probably build the built-in wardrobe a bit differently, but time was tight back then when we moved in.

I basically like built-in wardrobes, but I reject them for hygienic reasons. I have also never rented an apartment with a built-in kitchen. Maybe my objection is unfounded, but it just grosses me out, no matter how much I could clean.

Are other reasons ruled out? If the building is so impressive, I could also imagine that the residents are still looking for a concept for the "perfect" garden. Besides, I think grass and a few bushes here and there should "actually" be possible for everyone and are sufficient for the beginning in my opinion.

I also think a few paths, grass, and bushes are not that expensive. And cuttings from friends, relatives, and acquaintances are enough at the beginning, aren’t they?

In my opinion, wardrobes dominate a room and I don’t want that, unless it is an enormously large room with little else in it. I prefer pictures or plants as dominating elements.
