I think we really need to reconsider the topic of the dressing room and the parents' bedroom. Then other possibilities might also arise regarding the fireplace.

Here is the actual kitchen plan. I should have uploaded it right away, sorry!

The kitchen already looks much better like this. The only thing I don't really like is the cooktop on the island. However, there are no seats at the island and the cooktop is not squeezed to the edge as is often seen, so I don't think it's that bad. I believe there would be too little storage space for me. I would widen the niche and integrate another tall cabinet. But you have to decide for yourselves if that's enough.

We think the cooktop on the island is great - a matter of taste. We've also considered the third tall cabinet, but then the office will just be a bit smaller...

Cooktop on the island always has the extraction problem. With that, you choose the most expensive solution. But well, that's what you intend with the island anyway, if only because of the high space consumption for the island itself and the necessary walking paths.

I think you are confusing something here. After all, there are kitchenettes in very tight spaces and electric instant water heaters under a sink. Perhaps it was the Feng Shui consultant who advised you against placing fire and water side by side?

..:How neatly arranged the islands and kitchens always are in the plans....I should send you a picture of (our) reality sometime ... then you won’t have any space left for flowers, oranges, and the like.. Calculate how much larger the kitchen is compared to yours now and whether you can manage with it.

Recirculation hood....you can spend a lot of money on it...but there are also affordable options. Buying a kitchen, besides buying furniture, is the worst part of building a house; I wish you lots of fun and success.
