I wouldn't do an "open" wardrobe under an open staircase either. There are pictures of very stylish built-in wardrobes under staircases to be found on Google. However, the reason why it looks reasonably spacious in show homes is precisely due to the open staircase. It makes the room feel more airy. So if the staircase is closed off, it looks and actually is tighter.

I can only advise against the open staircase. You simply don't have any friends with it. It is sometimes really "gross" and there is absolutely nothing you can do about the falling dust, even with an obsession for cleaning. And I would argue that the average lazy German doesn't have that ^^

And keeping the wardrobe small might still work as long as there are no children, but by then, there are often 2 to 3 sets hanging there. Also shoes, even just for adults, need to be planned for somewhere. Therefore, the wardrobe space in a house without a basement should be optimized.

In your last upper floor plan, the dressing area will not provide much storage. You have to observe the 2m line.

Yvonne's idea with the kitchen corner should definitely be taken to heart.

The issue with the 2-meter line has meanwhile also been considered by our architect. The open staircase is fixed, we don't like it closed... New idea for the upper floor:

Is a 2m wardrobe in the dressing room sufficient for you? Your windows would need to be moved further outward so that wardrobes can also be placed.

Best regards

Hello,

one more completely different question in connection with the position of the stove and chimney:

Is a photovoltaic system planned (now or only later)?

In the current versions of your planning, the chimney is located on the south half of the roof.

The shadow cast by the chimney could significantly impair the performance of the photovoltaic system if each module is not connected individually.

Even if the chimney only casts a shadow on one module, otherwise the entire system’s performance will be severely impacted!

Regards,

Dirk
