Hello Dirk,

yes, a photovoltaic system is planned (later) and the preparation for it has already been commissioned. However, I had not even considered that the shadow cast by the chimney could be a problem :-(.

Thank you anyway for the tip! So many things to think about...

Photovoltaic systems should be positioned so that no single module is ever in the shade. If this is the case, the entire output collapses. Therefore, the shading caused by the chimney should not be neglected.

Or you use a system that can control individual modules, then the disadvantage is not quite as big, but it costs extra. So it is not necessarily beneficial to the yield.

I currently believe it’s not worthwhile anyway. We will possibly retrofit the photovoltaic system as soon as or if it ever becomes profitable. In my opinion, this will become clear in the next 5-10 years (electromobility, storage technology, etc.). However, we don’t want to rule anything out until then...
