I don't know what's going wrong with you right now, ypg ... but your posts here have absolutely no class anymore... You are allowed to criticize, but spare us your derogatory language. After all, you are also a photographer and not an "old snapper" ... It's a pity that you only know how to express yourself with this vocabulary.

The term is now, however, common in the green forum. I already had this topic a few posts ago: if you're unlucky, you're dealing with someone who just sketches the plan for you and doesn't care how a room with 5 m length and only 2.5 m width is actually supposed to be furnished. Or even how it appears.

Nothing at all. But:

Everywhere this term “common practice” is used. That’s just how it is – an input planner doesn’t design your house, but makes it ready for approval. Just try googling professions. If it’s realistic, they will take over all mistakes and in the end you really won’t get a door frame in your door opening, just like 11ant described somewhere. And who’s to blame? Me ;)

Exactly - one example has already been given: laundry folds under a sloping roof. From a building regulation perspective, this is absolutely permissible and therefore does not lead to any objections in the approval process.

I can only agree with .

we were like you on the road until the brother of a colleague who is an architect opened our eyes.
We then went to an architect and do not regret this step at all.
Everything I have seen from you so far is not really impressive...

Hello everyone,
time has passed, and the wish for the house has become reality.

We moved in July 2020. In the end, it was this floor plan:

However, the bathroom on the upper floor has the shower rotated to the east and the bathtub swapped sides with the sinks.
The first child is a solid 5 weeks old and currently has nothing from their nursery, as they still sleep with us.

In the end, it cost about 520k€.
Of that, 40k€ was for the exterior landscaping.
The 22k€ for photovoltaics and power storage will have paid off after 8 years (now 6 years left).
We love our wood-aluminum windows, our parquet flooring, our 1.2m tiles, our 2.5m tiles in the shower, and our 2.75m ceiling height on the ground floor.
The ventilation system is also a dream. We turned it off once for fun in the summer – then you really notice that certain air movement, which you normally do not actively perceive, is missing.

We actually also love the utility room on the upper floor. It’s exactly as planned: taking off clothes in the bathroom – dirty laundry to the utility room – washing/drying – back to the dressing room. By now, we would maybe have given it 10-20cm more.
The children’s rooms are "huge," and so far no one has felt that they are narrow. (Or everyone is lying to us : )

The dressing room is actually hardly used for that purpose – it’s more like a closet with a makeup corner for my wife. But the space is just great.

The large area for eating/cooking/living on the ground floor is simply overwhelming. Cooking in the kitchen with an island is just pure fun (and until then it was never my thing).

The technology room is big enough to store the stroller and carrier. Next to it are the work shoes – drying all the wet jackets there is also great.

The office was and still is just perfect for mobile work (back then, nobody knew Corona would require that).

Actually, I only miss small things, like direct access to the garage, the mentioned 15cm in the utility room.
At first, I found the pantry too small, but with 3 Billy shelves, you can fit not only food supplies but also cleaning equipment.

Many thanks back then for your patience and constructive criticism : )

Regards
