It doesn’t have to. There are hoses that can be laid under the base cabinets or pipes that can be installed. When building, it's all no big deal. We installed a water connection for the refrigerator at the terrace because we like to drink Caipirinha and wanted crushed ice nearby. No problem.

Good point, but what if you throw large food scraps into the trash can under the sink and quickly rinse before putting the dishes in the dishwasher. Then you run through the whole room with the dripping clothes. So for various reasons, I see the dishwasher next to the sink. Dilemma

It is a new building, so you can also afford 2 water connections.

Quickly ... the 3-block system.

Tall cabinet with elevated dishwasher, oven and at the same time secondary line .. e.g. space for the KVA. By the way, it is sufficient for comfortable operation to raise the dishwasher by about 30 cm. However, the niche should better be about 190 cm in the raw construction.

Sink block with base cabinet with waste system (just google it):

Cooktop block with freely selectable cooktop and e.g. Berbel Firstline Touch, a very good extractor hood. The exhaust air duct can be routed at the top of the wall cabinet to the right, possibly also through the adjacent room, unfortunately no complete floor plan is available.

Resulting in this floor plan:

Depending on the situation, I would also consider making a slightly narrower door to the garden from the window or moving the window further towards the top of the plan so that more light falls on the peninsula.
Purple .. is the opened dishwasher door, blue are the necessary water connections.

Otherwise, in this solution you are standing: with the dishwasher door open, but also in the way everywhere.

Which is always nice when you are in the main cooking phase, that you can leave the dishwasher door open and immediately put away everything you no longer need from the preparation phase. Then an open kitchen also looks neat again right away.

I will bring up the option with the government. The only problem I see is having just one sink on the island, as the water splashes everywhere. I have attached the complete floor plan. Simply enlarging the niche will be rather difficult. But one could certainly omit the small room divider in the niche.

I have never washed a plate before putting it in the dishwasher...
