Exactly at such points my doubts about points systems arise. A community should be "economically" glad when its sons and daughters undertake journeyman years for a good education. Unfortunately, in most local resident models, this results in penalty points compared to those who have never left the small town and have thereby secured a firmly fixed place in the waiting queue. This ultimately promotes "incestuously" career paths and ultimately weakens the location. Exactly these people should actually be able to provide themselves with land outside of such lotteries as well.

This means that one was born and raised here. Of course, one can then live elsewhere, study or work, and is allowed to return.

Thanks for the links

Unfortunately, this is only desirable, but often implemented differently: namely that children up to the age of twelve should ideally have been born here or at least one can demonstrate a reintegration period of about two to five years since returning to the local place. "Freshly" coming back often "counts" as if moving from Melmac.

That is truly cheeky: I had manually repaired the links before embedding them, but apparently they automatically un-repair themselves again. So unfortunately you have to fiddle the "Threads" to "threads" again :-(

Too bad if it is implemented like that. "Melmac" lol Because you mentioned the mayor earlier. The new mayor from out of town also wanted a plot of land. Guess what happened then. It ultimately turned out well for him and someone else doesn't have a new building plot, but since the old mayor was constantly accused of living outside, they made an exception for the newcomer. The old mayor has now just bought in my neighborhood (used semi-detached house).

I studied in Leipzig (00-06) and I remember it was customary to give shared flats (sic!) one or two months rent-free plus some treats to get the renovated Art Nouveau buildings occupied again. Does anyone else know this "should-have" moment? But where to get the money as a student to buy a multi-family house in Stötteritz or even Lindenau :D
