Now, of course, a film manufacturer does not mix 4 parts light blue, 1 part pink, and 80 parts black granulate together, because his basic ingredients are different than in printing - and voilà, his result would then only be "similar" if RAL 7016 were a printing color.

To pick up this good contribution once again (even though the user otherwise writes a lot of nonsense): that was also our top priority: timelessness. For windows, floors, doors, kitchen, lamps, etc., we always looked at old houses and paid attention to what is still beautiful today. Parquet (natural) for example has (at least to my knowledge) never really been out of style. Likewise, for example, white mullioned windows or white stairs with oak steps. My favorite negative example was always the super trendy Ikea kitchen in red and high gloss, which today just looks old. That was not even 10-15 years ago or so? Or those round plastic door handles from the 90s… So I think: when in doubt, always classic. All these dark gray new housing estates look like Mordor.

Thanks for the laugh! I'll remember that! Especially fitting when the front yard has more gravel than the Munich-Hamburg railway line.

Absolutely, I agree with you, but differently… … the houses aren’t gray but mostly white. In my municipality, we live in the white village, not to be confused with Andalusia’s white villages, but just as bright, light-reflecting, and much brighter than the brick-villaged center. Yes, it was. There were times when people laid carpet and PVC over it. My then-modern parents absolutely and completely did not want the old wooden flooring like my grandparents. Phew, to me they always looked quite cancer-promoting
The same applies to oak as to parquet: oak existed mostly only in dark as “Gelsenkirchen Baroque,” and wood was not a sign of wealth that many aspired to. … yes, ugly. We had those, but they were many times better than the ornate brass handles. Etc. What exactly is classic? Maybe you mean Classicism, but I can’t imagine you take antiquity as a model. ? Or do you? For many, turrets and columns are the epitome of aesthetics, but that then has very little to do with RAL 7016 ;)
