Almost as peculiar as a forum member's statement that it is completely absurd to consider whether the facade color matches the window color when choosing the facade color.

Regarding the car: There is often THAT one rim in the wheel program from car manufacturers that I like. If it's black at the moment, I don't choose black paint for it. Hard for you to understand, I know.

No, nobody said that. It's completely normal to basically think about it. But I’m happy to repeat myself: 90% of all people facing such a decision have the opposite decision order or don’t start thinking about it until the windows are already installed / the rims are bought. And it’s okay that you do it that way, but getting upset that people find that surprising is really quite curious. By the way, I strongly disagree with the car example. Black rims go perfectly well with a black car... But that would be too much maintenance effort for me. You already have my recommendation for the facade color. Maybe have some chamomile tea, from a colorful cup.

In our new development area, several houses have 7016 windows and facades in a lighter brown tone, and the style is modern puristic. I don’t know the shade of color you mentioned, so I don’t know how brown or dark it is, but similar to the brown houses I know, I could imagine it fitting well. It’s definitely something different from white. Because often there are comments about RAL7016 windows and that they will be outdated in 15 years: Our first house, built 16 years ago, already had windows in RAL 7016. Back then, we were looked at strangely by some people, wondering how we came up with something like that, people stopped and asked how anyone could choose such ugly windows. And then around us in the neighborhood, there were more and more houses with dark windows, and now, 16 years later, it still isn’t outdated.

This thread is the umpteenth rehash of an FAQ :) and I have accordingly already repeated my mantras that
1. RAL does not regulate the success like Pantone does, but merely the effort to hit a certain color tone, which accordingly succeeds differently on various substrates as desired; as well as
2. Seventysixteen is the new zeroeightfifteen ;-)
see among others or (where I also linked a corresponding thread by ). Other siblings of this FAQ thread are or and if the question moves to roof tiles also .

Lighter brown tone… cappuccino… that’s exactly how I imagined it. Unfortunately, the tone "Marone" from Maxit, to which I actually attributed my desired touch, turned out apricot-like. I will now approach Maxit directly, maybe they can help me.

I don't understand why I should choose the window color based on the facade color. I can change the facade color every few years for a plastered house or wooden house. Plastic windows last 20 years or more.
