In terms of the amount of rainfall, it is identical to a flat roof. The drainage would have to be carried out on the inside of the eaves sides, that is correct. The flow velocity naturally increases with the roof pitch. Unfortunately, I have already received a refusal from the authorities to go below 15 degrees, because the development plan has already been reduced from 35 to 15 degrees and therefore sufficient scope for design would exist. The building authority, the municipal council, and also the building committee have all independently made the same decision, unfortunately. I have been trying to get this approved for 9 months now. I could now go for a hip roof with 15 degrees and would, let's say, see less roof. However, with the 5.5 m wall height, I cannot realize 2 full floors without roof slopes. That is really very frustrating. I just can't understand that for a shed roof you are allowed 7.5 m up to the eaves and for the other roof types only 5.5 m. If for the shed roof the eaves on both sides were meant, I would understand that. However, a house was approved there with a wall height of 6 m on the low side and 9 m on the high side of a 15 degree shed roof. Strange.
